About Practice

The Franklin Cross Country team practices every day after school and even on weekends. During the regular season the team has workouts every other day with recovery days in between. During the off season, the team does long runs everyday to help build endurance. Workouts tend to be 5 miles of hard running at a fast pace where recovery runs and longer runs tend to be 8-9 miles at a slow, easy pace. On holidays we do very difficult workouts like the Hill Challenger course or the Narnia Hill run both of which are up hill runs.
